Mr. Long-Term Care's Story - Part 1
Take it from someone who knows Martin Bayne, the original founder of MrLTC.com, began as an agent selling long-term care insurance, bought a policy himself, at the age of 45 was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and began seeing the benefits of having long-term care insurance, and is now an avid advocate for the Long-Term Care Industry.
Few people understand the ins and outs of the Long Term Care Industry and advocate intensely for reform more than Martin K. Bayne, also known as "Mr. Long-Term Care." A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a former Long Term Care insurance agent, Mr. Bayne had already started taking the industry to task when, in 1995 at age 45, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Firsthand knowledge of the problems faced by Long Term Care consumers only added fuel to his fire and drove him to build this website, www.mrltc.com, into one of the Internet's most comprehensive sources of ltc information.
Martin is an accomplished writer, advocate, and is one of the foremost authorities on Long Term Care and the need for Long Term Care insurance. Mr. Bayne has been honored for his pioneering achievements in building awareness for the need for long term care protection for all Americans and was recently bestowed with the Golden Harvest Award for lifetime achievements in furthering Long Term Care.
