Prudential is rolling out it's third generation LTC policy, LTC3. This policy offers a number of new benefits, including: International coverage, Calendar Day Elimination Periods, Restoration of Benefits and an Alternate Care of Plan. A Monthly Cash Benefit is available as an option.
The policy has been approved in 21 states, with a launch date of 3/21.
MetLife has started to roll out it's new policy, VIP2. It was first launched in 19 states on 1/28. A number of new or revised benefit features have been filed, but all states are not expected to approve every one.
I haven't seen any rates, but history tells us both plans are probably substantially higher than the ones they're replacing.
