Hello
I posted origianlly posted this infromation in the "test post" section.
I am asking the question again here in order to get more visibility.
A few months ago, I spent time with the Bankers Columbus, Ohio office. Overall I was impressed - can anyone please give me any insight about this office either positive or negative?
In addition, can anyone provide any feedback/insight selling LTC vs selling for a company like Aflac?
thank you

Joe,
Every Bankers office throughout the country runs differently. You'd have to get feedback from someone in the Columbus office to address your questions & concerns.
Both Bankers & AFLAC (quack, quack) would require you to be a captive agent. AFLAC sells a number of different types of insurance products. They're not licensed for LTC in every state (nor is Bankers).
Sorry I can't add some more helpful information for you.
Arthur

Thanks Arthur for your reply.
My impression is that Aflac focuses more on supplemental insureance for businesses as opposed to individuals. Not sure if this is accurate or not?
Because of this - Aflac seems to promote more of a "regular" work week. ie M-F.
Arthur can you or anyone else comment?
thanks again
Joe

i've worked and been appointed for both companies so I guess I qualify to speak on this matter. Arthur is right every office is run differently. But they are all ran to sell the same companies policies so they're not too different from an office elsewhere in the country. That being said AFLAC is a great company to sell for. Their commission structure is really pretty cool but you won't make a whole lot comparitively to other companies in the early years.
My experience with Bankers Life and Casualty has been mixed. The pro's of going with them include great products and bonuses. And that you'll get your feet wet in the buisness. The con's are that they career farm. They recruit like crazy and get new agents licsensed and appointed. Then get the agent's to sell all of their family members then fire the agent. I would really not recomend bankers or aflac for a new starting agent to be 100% honest.
